Wow, these past few months have been a whirlwind of events at Chelsea Green – and it’s been amazing!
We kicked off the summer months with a BBQ & Freecycle in June which saw over 100 people come out and pick up some free treasures, sit down for a bite to each with other community members, and watch a documentary on the Chelsea Green / Glen Cairn area made by Phil McLeod and local community partners.
All in all, it was a blast!
Then, in July, we had the blessing of having one of Canada’s hottest Christian Hip Hop artists, Jon Corbin, come and DJ, then perform LIVE, during an evening BBQ that also saw a slew of our neighbours in attendance. If that wasn’t enough, Jon also took to the pulpit the next morning and preached, ending off with a spoken word performance!
Now, we’re just a week away from hosting our last community BBQ of the season on August 25th. And it’s gonna be a doozy.
WHAT: CGCC’s August Family Funfest BBQ – We’ve got games, prizes, and (of course) lots of BBQ’d food as per usual.
