Help us continue to Seek the Lost, Grow Together in Christ, and Build Our Community!
Back in September of 2017, we set out on a mission to plant a church in the Chelsea Green Neighbourhood, here in London, Ontario. Going into this, we knew that it was going to be a challenging area to plant a church; addiction, broken homes, poverty, and abuse are all common issues facing many in this community.
Yet, throughout it all, we’ve continuously seen God at work in the lives of our neighbours.
Folks who were so very far from the Lord, coming in to taste and see that He is good – placing their faith in His Son, Jesus; being baptized here in our church; and then stepping out in obedience to spread His Good News to their neighbours here in the community. The Gospel of Hope: that Jesus came to seek and save lost sinners!
However, serving a high-needs / low-income area, means that there are some among us who struggle financially. Folks who are much like the poor widow we find mentioned in Luke 21:1-5, who Jesus praised for giving her last two copper pennies. Folks who give out of obedience, even if it means forgoing a meal, or some other luxury many of us take for granted.
So, in order to keep our doors open and continue serving the needs of our community, we’re inviting those who are able to give out of their abundance to partner with us and help us sustain this ministry in the years ahead.
In the coming months, we’ll be setting out on an ambitious fundraising campaign to help us keep doing ministry in this community. We have placed this goal in God’s hands, and trust He is at work in the hearts of our brothers and sisters in and around London who see the need for a gospel witness in this area of our city.
100% of your generous support will go towards continuing to do gospel outreach in the Chelsea Green neighbourhood, providing Christian counselling to those in need, and equipping our people to press forward and make more disciples – all to God’s Glory!
Why are we reaching out to our sister churches in London? It’s quite simple: we see this community as not only our mission field, but the mission field for all our brothers and sisters here in the London area.
“You will always have the poor among you”
Matthew 26:11
Jesus clearly tells us that we “will always have the poor among [us]”, and so it stands to reason that, until the day of His triumphant return, we will always have churches whose primary mission is to serve those who have less. Churches that depend on the generosity of their brothers and sisters in Christ who are able to bless others out of the abundance the Lord has afforded them.
